We’re seeking a hands-on QA Manager to own the overall quality strategy for a complex software platform operating within a highly regulated environment. Job Details
We’re seeking a hands-on QA Manager to own the overall quality strategy for a complex software platform operating within a highly regulated environment. This person will lead the QA function while remaining technically involved in test strategy, automation, release readiness, and overall product quality.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall QA strategy, standards, and testing processes across the software development lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor QA and QA Automation Engineers.
- Establish release-quality standards and participate in go/no-go decisions for production releases.
- Drive functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and acceptance testing.
- Develop and expand the organization’s test automation strategy.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Track defects, test coverage, escaped defects, and other quality metrics.
- Work closely with Engineering and Product to improve testability and release quality.
- Maintain testing documentation and evidence required within a regulated/audited environment.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of QA/Test Engineering experience, including leadership or ownership of QA strategy.
- Strong understanding of the complete software testing lifecycle.
- Experience building or scaling automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Jenkins, or comparable technologies.
- Experience testing APIs, backend systems, and integrated software platforms.
- Experience with performance and security testing.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with FedRAMP, NIST, government technology, or other regulated environments is highly preferred.
