Our client is seeking a QA Manager to join their team!

The Manager, Quality Assurance oversees the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). This role is a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on optimization, responsible for developing quality standards, implementing automated test processes, and leading a high-performing team of QA Analysts.

Reporting to the VP of Product and Program Delivery, you will ensure all IT initiatives comply with internal policies, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy & Management
  • Build and implement a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) framework, including performance metrics and standardized procedures across the product lifecycle.
  • Define and implement testing standards (Agile and Waterfall) and select appropriate tools for the IT department.
  • Champion the standardization and automation of test processes to increase productivity and ensure quality goals are met.
  • Manage QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts across multiple projects, providing accurate estimations and hitting key milestones.

Leadership & Talent Development
  • Directly lead, coach, and motivate a team of Quality Assurance Analysts.
  • Handle resource planning, performance management, and career development for the QA team.
  • Manage and integrate third-party vendor resources and tools;participate in the vendor selection process to ensure solution fit.

User Support & Business Analysis
  • Work with product teams to triage user requests and communicate requirements effectively.
  • Gather and analyze UAT metrics to support recommendations to end-users and monitor overall compliance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, QA certification, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7–10 years in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
  • Proven track record of managing direct reports and influencing senior stakeholders.

Technical Expertise
  • Deep proficiency in UAT, software testing principles, verification/validation methods, and risk planning.
  • Advanced experience with Jira, JavaScript, and modern test automation frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Strong skills in documenting operational processes and creating standardized "knowledge base" workflows.

Preferred Certifications
  • Certified ISO9001 Lead Auditor.
  • ASQ CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) or CQE (Certified Quality Engineer).
  • CQM/OE (Certified Quality Manager/Organizational Excellence).
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
