8-10 years of experience in manual testing with a focus on hardware testing, specifically IoT, embedded devices, kiosks, POS, and smart device testing.
Required Skills:
Strong manual testing skills with the ability to create test cases, perform exploratory testing, functional testing, regression testing, retesting, and defect reporting.
Proficiency in defect management, including logging high-quality defects with detailed steps, screenshots, videos, logs, and business impact.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineers, business teams, onsite operations, and vendors.
Strong documentation skills for writing test scenarios, execution notes, sign-off summaries, and issue reports.
Problem-solving skills to isolate issues related to hardware, software, setup, environment, or user flow.
Familiarity with tools such as Jira, test management tools, logs, and basic reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with hospitality systems, access control, smart locks, or electronic hardware validation.
Experience with Assa Abloy lock systems, especially Visionline, is highly preferred.
Role and responsibilities:
Perform manual testing of electronic door lock systems, RFID cards, mobile/digital keys, and related access workflows.
Validate Assa Abloy lock behavior for guest room access, common area access, privacy mode, deadbolt, battery alerts, and offline/online scenarios.
Test Visionline configurations, key issuance flows, room access rules, and communication between connected systems.
Execute end-to-end testing across hardware, software, and operational workflows.
Reproduce field issues reported from onsite locations and document exact steps, expected results, and actual results.
Work closely with product, engineering, operations, vendors, and support teams to isolate defects and confirm fixes.
Prepare test cases, test evidence, regression packs, and daily or weekly status updates.
Support onsite validation during installations, upgrades, configuration changes, and pilot rollouts.
