The Sr. Software QA Engineer is an IT Applications Testing Shared Services resource responsible for Systems Testing of start-up implementations and O&M software development projects. The Sr. QA Engineer is required to perform analysis and review systems requirements, partner with development and DevOps engineering teams to understand project objectives and gather requirements to design tests with a focus on automation for reusability and maintainability. This position will be required to develop test strategy in a hybrid setting while maximizing use of test automation for our web-based applications. Responsibilities will include mentoring testing team members, participating in performing POC/research for new process/tools, making recommendations, and implementation upon management approval.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in test planning, test case writing and execution – in a hybrid testing approach through automation and manual test execution on a Start-up Implementation project
• Perform manual and automated test management activities for testing Oracle Financial Application (OFA) and Integration testing with other workstream Products such as CRMs.
• Manage Defect Lifecyle process from reporting bugs through closure
• Identify and prepare test data for testing
• Provide testing estimates
• Provide regular updates to the Test/Project Manager
• Attend project related meetings as needed
• Provide testing estimations for manual testing and input into automation estimates
• Maintain Project's manual test and automation documentation
• Provide UAT support for their test data needs
• Other testing related duties as per project needs.

Technical Skills / Knowledge Required:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in required skills for Manual and automation testing in a medium to large complex web-based integrated project, preferably in healthcare industry
• Proficient in writing test cases and execution in an Agile environment
• Demonstrated strong proficiency in SQL for creating/modifying queries for backend and ETL testing
• Proficient in Rest components/APIs for testing webservices and web applications in an integrated system with tools such as Postman
• Must function at the expert level with testing web based applications and defect management tools, processes, and reporting in a fast paced agile environment
• Experience in building automated test scripts in Se/Python to automate where possible (Java will be considered but willing to learn Python).
• Unix/Linux/ command line experience
• Working experience with AWS fundamentals and core concepts for test development and execution
• Familiar with technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and running automation scripts through CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or tools in AWS ecosystem
