QA/QC Data Center Commissioning Agent
Location: Nationwide Travel (17 Days On / 4 Days Off Rotation)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Data Center Commissioning Agent to support large-scale mission critical and data center electrical construction projects across the United States.

This role is responsible for leading the commissioning, testing, and quality assurance of complex electrical systems to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience commissioning electrical systems within data centers or other critical facilities.

This is a 100% travel role operating on a 17 days on / 4 days off rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commissioning activities for electrical systems including:

    • Switchgear

    • UPS systems

    • Generators

    • Transformers
    • Power distribution panels
    • LV/MV/HV
  • Review electrical drawings, schematics, and design documents for compliance
  • ?
  • Perform L1–L3 commissioning activities, including Factory Testing, Pre-Installation, Pre-Commissioning

  • Develop and execute commissioning plans and procedures

  • Coordinate functional testing, system verification, and acceptance testing

  • Troubleshoot electrical faults, alarms, and performance issues

  • Ensure compliance with NETA, NFPA, NEC, and IEEE standards

  • Generate detailed commissioning reports and maintain accurate documentation

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of electrical commissioning experience

  • Direct experience in data centers or mission critical environments

  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • Switchgear

    • UPS systems

    • Generator systems

    • Power distribution infrastructure

  • Familiarity with NETA testing standards

  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and IEEE codes

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred but not required

  • Must be open to 100% travel on a 17/4 schedule

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and active construction site environments

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions depending on project location

  • Required use of PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, respirator when required)

  • Ability to work extended hours, overtime, and occasional night shifts

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds

  • Frequent use of hands, arms, and repetitive motion tasks
