Job Description

Purpose: Provides quality inspections in regards toWork Schedule: Varies by location. Must have open availability any time any day of the week. Length ofemployment is limited to job assignment and/or project duration.Essential Skills (may include but are not limited to the ability to)Assess subcontractors' capabilities to meet the quality requirements of the project as required.Responsibility for the performance of all inspection and testing activities as defined by contract.Assure that the contract obligations for testing and record keeping are adhered to.Control calibrated measuring and test equipment used on the project.Keep calibration records and ensure that all testing equipment has current calibration records.Ensure proper turnover of complete quality control package(s). Responsible for ensuring that turnoverdocumentation is maintained, organized and turned over on schedule.Maintain project quality records for the construction phase of the project and quality audit plans,performance and management thereof.Perform evaluations of subcontractors' facilities, as needed, to determine their capabilities in meeting thequality requirements.Conduct periodic Quality Program training for site supervisory personnel.All other duties as normally required by our QA/QC Department, and as required by daytoday business.Work with in precise limits and standards of accuracyPerform mechanical inspections on Electrical installed items (plumb, square, level, tight, etc.)Work within company policy as outlined in the Samuel EPC Craft Handbook, compliant with the SamuelEPC Human Resources Policy Manual, and with the Samuel EPC Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules.Follow oral and written directions and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.Job Description: QA/QCPage 2 of 2Job Description:QA/QC InspectorEssential QualificationsFive (5) years of formal training and experience in heavy industrial projects such as refineries, petrochemical complexes, power plants, etc.Ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors, and craft employees.Must be capable of obtaining or possess inspection licenses and/or certifications as requiredRead, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions (otherpreferences will be given for special language skills where there is a business need)Possess technological skills such as operating a computer, sending/receiving emails, scan, and printdocuments. Also, be able to work in Microsoft Word, and Excel; and work in PDF modification programssuch as Bluebeam or Adobe.Must exhibit ability to read and interpret P&ID's, and ISO's as well as show an understanding of codes andspecifications.Physical RequirementsStand or walk for long periods of timeUse arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objectsLift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds withassistanceClimb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects while carrying tools and equipmentStoop, kneel, crouch and crawlSee well (naturally or with correction)Eyehand coordinationGood physical fitnessGood sense of balanceWork at great heightsTool RequirementsSteel toed work bootsRain coat or ponchoEnvironment: Works out of a main office or out of a field office at the construction site, monitors the all phases ofthe construction project, may travel extensively when not assigned to a construction site, usually entails temporaryresidence away from primary residence, deals with delays, the effects of bad weather, or emergencies at the site.Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, must be careful while performing onsiteservices.Employee Review AcknowledgementI acknowledge that I have read the Job Description and I understand what would be expected of me.
