QA/QC Engineer – Data Center Construction (Columbus, OH)This is an opportunity with a leading EPC company specializing in data center design, build, and commissioning solutions. The role focuses on coordinating between engineering and construction teams to ensure quality of data center construction projects, specifically installation, commissioning, and operation of key infrastructure systems.ResponsibilitiesDeliver quality services and support as established by the company, ensuring proper performance reporting of key metrics.Communicate with contractors and vendors to obtain documentation, run commissioning meetings, schedule technicians, and coordinate startup and testing of electrical and mechanical equipment.Conduct periodic site walk‑throughs to ensure company procedures and standards are followed.Site acceptance, commissioning, and validation of facility systems to verify integrity and performance.Perform L1, L2, and L3 QA inspections on all equipment.Develop and review SOPs and MOPs for all work on critical data center equipment.Oversee verification and auditing of scripts.Create QA checklists and confirm completion of subcontractor and GC inspections.Maintain QA issues log.Conduct analyses and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance.Provide experience with emergency and routine service on state‑of‑the‑art critical systems, including chiller, cooling towers, air handlers, fire detection/suppression, building monitoring, medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS, and power distribution.Collaborate with business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.Maintain constant readiness to support a 99.999% uptime goal.Design critical environment programs for internal and external clients.Coordinate with design/construction teams to focus the commissioning process.Assess, recommend, and implement industry best practices.Develop process documentation and training materials.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience; military experience a plus.NETA certification, Journeyman License, and L1‑L3 commissioning experience in data centers are advantages.2‑5 years in data center facility operations, commissioning, or military.2‑5 years in quality assurance, quality controls, commissioning, MEP coordination or related experience.Experience working with GC or third‑party commissioning companies is beneficial.Strong understanding of critical power systems or mechanical/HVAC equipment in a data center.Experience analyzing processes, creating documentation, developing procedures, and communicating with business and operations managers.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.Familiarity with BIM 360/ACC, CxAlloy, and end‑user ACMS.Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, analytical, planning, and problem‑resolution skills.Highly organized, project‑management‑oriented, detail oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work in a high‑pressure environment.Strong customer service skills.Open to travel M‑F, home weekends, or limited travel if near a project.Benefits include competitive salaries and a benefits package with medical insurance and a 401(k) plan.EOE/AA Employer M/F/D/V#J-18808-Ljbffr
