Perform inspection and verification of incoming materials and equipment to confirm compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Review and interpret material certifications, test results, and supplier documentation to ensure conformity with engineering and procurement requirements.

Conduct detailed inspections at various project stages, including receipt, storage, fabrication, and installation, ensuring traceability and adherence to quality control procedures. Identify and document any non-conformances or deviations, ensuring timely reporting, investigation, and resolution in collaboration with project quality and engineering teams.

Coordinate with procurement, construction, and engineering personnel to confirm that all materials are properly handled, stored, and preserved in accordance with project requirements and manufacturer recommendations.

Maintain and update material inspection records, traceability logs, and quality documentation to support project turnover and regulatory compliance.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to lessons learned, process optimization, and knowledge-sharing activities across projects.

Requirements

Significant experience in materials inspection within industrial construction, energy, chemicals, or resources sectors, with a strong understanding of QA/QC methodologies and documentation practices.

Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, codes, and standards applicable to construction and fabrication.

Strong working knowledge of inspection techniques, sampling methods, and quality control principles related to metallic and non-metallic materials.

Familiarity with industry standards and specifications such as ASME, ASTM, API, or equivalent.

Skilled in using inspection tools, documentation systems, and data management software to support efficient and accurate record-keeping.
