This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that all work performed meets project specifications, quality standards, approved procedures, and client expectations. Description
Our QA/QC Manager will be resonsible for:
- Monitor implementation of the project Quality Management System through routine site assessments, audits, and quality reviews.
- Conduct daily field inspections to verify compliance with approved construction methods, specifications, and quality standards.
- Meet with subcontractors prior to mobilization to review approved submittals, outstanding RFIs, material procurement status, and quality requirements.
- Establish and monitor subcontractor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance throughout various project phases.
- Develop, communicate, and enforce QA/QC requirements for subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.
- Track and follow up on quality-related action items while maintaining status logs and documentation.
- Create, manage, and monitor project punch lists to ensure timely completion of corrective work.
- Review ongoing and completed work to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and workmanship standards.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities with vendors, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and ownership representatives.
- Prepare and review testing and commissioning procedures and method statements.
- Ensure all quality documentation is maintained and properly organized throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate preparation of final turnover packages, including QA/QC records, testing reports, commissioning documentation, and project closeout materials
Profile
The ideal QA/QC Manager will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience implementing and managing QA/QC programs within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction quality management systems and QA/QC best practices.
- Experience with LAUSD projects.
- DSA project experience strongly preferred.
- ICC Inspector Certification preferred.
- Current California State Inspector Certification preferred.
- OSHPD/HCAI inspection experience preferred.
- Experience supporting testing, commissioning, and project turnover activities.
