QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on QA testing experience for web applications (C#/.NET experience is highly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including ASP.NET MVC, .NET 8 Core, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs
  • Proven experience testing complex forms, data validation, PDF generation/export, and secure login/authorization systems
  • Familiarity with tax-related software, financial applications, or regulated environments (IRS, compliance, or fintech experience is a big plus)
  • Experience writing and executing test cases for functional, regression, and security testing
  • Proficiency with bug-tracking and test-management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering defect-free, compliant software

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive manual and automated testing of the entire web application, with primary focus on:All tax-related input forms (data entry, calculations, and submission flows)
  • Data validation rules, error handling, and edge-case scenarios
    Accurate generation and printing of IRS-compliant PDF forms and supporting documents
  • Test and validate customer login, authentication, session management, and multi-factor authentication flows
  • Conduct security testing around access controls, role-based permissions, data encryption, and protection of sensitive tax information
  • Execute end-to-end functional, regression, integration, and usability testing across different browsers and devices
  • Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools; work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
  • Verify IRS tax data handling complies with required formats, business rules, and regulatory requirements
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release sign-off meetings
  • Continuously improve QA processes and suggest automation opportunities for repetitive test scenarios
