At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.We are presently seeking aQA Technicianthat will perform various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to beveling milling blocking grinding polishing curve generation and inspectionmeasurements.Main responsibilitiesPerform visual inspections of components and finished products using established inspection criteria.Use measurement and inspection equipment such as calipers micrometers optical comparators microscopes and other quality control tools.Conduct inspections in controlled environments including dark-room or enclosed black box inspection stations as required.Identify document and communicate product defects damage or nonconforming conditions.Follow work instructions inspection plans procedures and quality standards.Handle optical components and sensitive products using proper techniques to prevent contamination damage or degradation.Record inspection results accurately and maintain traceable quality records.Verify product conformance to drawings specifications and acceptance criteria.Support incoming in-process and final inspections as needed.Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.Maintain inspection equipment and ensure equipment is calibrated and suitable for use.Work closely with Production Engineering and other departments to resolve quality concerns.Maintain a clean organized and controlled work environment.Follow all safety procedures and company policies.Other duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.1 years of experience with quality inspection manufacturing or production experience preferred.Experience using precision measuring equipment preferred.Ability to read and interpret drawings specifications and work instructions.Basic computer skills for data entry and record maintenance.Experience working in a regulated or quality-focused environment preferred.Benefits start day 1 Medical Dental Vision 401K Paid Time Off Holiday Pay PAID MaternityPaternity leave Tuition Reimbursement Long-term and Short-term disabilityPay Range 21.00 - 29.00 per hour depending on experience.Our facility in Boulder Coloradohas key functions in Research and Development Operations Production and other disciplines.
