Description
Position Title: Quality Control Technician Shift: 1st
Wage Range: $23 Differential: none
Status: Full Time
Responsible for supporting the QA department through product control, verification procedures, organization, compliance and inspection of finished goods.
PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights).
- Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.)
- Finished product quality checks.
- CCP Direct Observations and documentation
- Metal Detector calibrations & documentation.
- Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant.
- Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance.
- Check bellies at Bacon Press for proper temperature and feel of belly
- Lead and document leaker checks
- Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation
- Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros.
- Return product checks/releases.
- Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations.
- Printing cool down charts for process control sheets.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
- Bilingual Spanish desired.
- One year of experience in QA/QC department in a manufacturing environment desired.
- HACCP & SQF training/certification desired.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely & effective manner.
- Microsoft Office Experience required.
