QA Technician II - 2nd Shift

General Profile
- Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines
- Works with close supervision
- Performs manual tasks according to established procedures
Essential Functions
- Define and specify activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
- Build and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
- Identifies and addresses any issues with equipment performance.
- Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
- Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods
- Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Quality or related degree preferred
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information. Research skills. Problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
