Location: Denver, CO 80216
Pay Rate: $29.00 per hour
Schedule:4x10 Schedule, Sunday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Hours: 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Days Off: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required
Assignment Type: Temporary, extension may be possible based on workload, budget, and performance
 
Quality Assurance Opportunity in Food Manufacturing
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician II to support quality and food safety operations at a high-volume milk production facility in Denver. This role is responsible for conducting quality inspections, monitoring production processes, performing laboratory testing, maintaining accurate documentation, and helping ensure products meet established quality and regulatory standards.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with quality assurance, food manufacturing, microbiology, chemical laboratory, or related experience who thrive in a fast-paced production environment.
 
What You'll Be Doing
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished milk products
  • Inspect production processes for compliance with quality and food safety standards
  • Perform testing and analyzing results to ensure products meet specifications
  • Monitor and document equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Evaluate testing trends and communicate findings to employees and management
  • Partner with production teams to quickly address quality-related concerns
  • Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed
  • Maintain accurate daily records and prepare reports on quality metrics
  • Support continuous improvement and 6-S workplace standards
  • Assist with customer complaint follow-up and coordinate with production teams
  • Perform other quality-related projects and duties as assigned
 
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of quality assurance experience
  • Previous food production quality assurance experience preferred
  • Microbiology or chemical laboratory experience will also be considered
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and regulations preferred
  • HACCP and food safety knowledge preferred
  • Laboratory testing equipment and maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer programs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work the required 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM schedule and occasional overtime as needed
