QA Testing Lead – Medical Management (Utilization Management / Care Management) - Remote

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Testing Lead – Medical Management (Utilization Management / Care Management) position with a Major Healthcare Company located in Eagan, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This position is 100% remote.

Compensation: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced QA / Testing Lead to support a large-scale healthcare technology implementation. This individual will be responsible for leading testing strategy, planning, coordination, and execution across complex healthcare workflows and integrated systems. The ideal candidate has healthcare experience in understanding workflows for medical management (utilization management/care management) combined with several years of experience leading enterprise testing efforts. This role requires someone who can operate across both business and technical teams, understand complex workflows and system dependencies, and ensure testing activities are coordinated effectively.

This role is suited to a testing leader who understands how medical management works from the health plan or payer side.

Key Responsibilities:

• Put an established test strategy into practice for the UM and Care Management workstream, developing the plans, scenarios, traceability, and reporting needed for each release.

• Coordinate functional, system integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing across applications and teams.

• Validate workflows such as authorization intake and review, medical-necessity decisions, approvals and denials, case assessments, care plans, referrals, and care-team tasks, according to the scope of each release.

• Track test readiness, dependencies, environments, test data, defects, risks, and results; communicate clear status and recommendations to business and technology leaders.

• Work with business subject matter experts, analysts, product owners, engineers, and other testing teams to resolve issues and support release readiness.

Primary Requirements:

• Approximately 8–10 years of QA/testing experience, including 3–5 years leading testing efforts across teams or workstreams.

• Experience testing applications that support Utilization Management and/or Care Management workflows for a health plan, payer, or closely related organization.

• Experience coordinating integration, system integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing across multiple systems and stakeholders.

• Ability to take ownership of test execution, priorities, defects, risks, and status reporting in a complex implementation.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to turn business workflows into effective test coverage.

Desired Experience

• Testing appeals and grievances, chronic condition or disease management, or related medical management workflows.

• Experience with a medical management platform such as GuidingCare or a comparable system.

• QMetry or another enterprise test management tool; Jira and Confluence.

• Manual and automated testing in a large healthcare transformation.
