QC Analytical Chemist

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive QC Analytical Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will perform testing on raw materials and incoming materials, including USP and EP, using wet chemistry techniques such as pH, IR, moisture, and identification tests. This role offers the opportunity to transition into working with HPLC and GC in the future, and requires adherence to GMP regulations. Initially, the role will be predominantly lab-based, with the potential to adjust over time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing on raw and incoming materials using wet chemistry techniques.
• Perform basic testing during initial training, with progression to GC and LC work.
• Draft protocols and perform side tasks to maintain productivity.
• Cross-train on the Finished Product team, including particle size testing and dissolutions.
• Ensure compliance with GMP regulations in all activities.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or a related life science field.
• Experience in analytical chemistry courses or undergraduate research.
• 0-2 years of chemistry experience in a GMP environment.
• Proficiency in HPLC and GC is highly desirable.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Undergraduate research experience or summer internship experience.
• Demonstrated initiative and self-driven work ethic.

Work Environment

The role is based in a modern laboratory setting within a Quality Control lab. The team consists of four chemists in the Raw Material team, five in the Finished Product team, and five in Analytical Development. The lab, which has expanded over the last two years, offers a shared workspace without individual desks, although scientist-level staff have dedicated desks. The environment promotes learning and progression, with opportunities for advancement into lead or supervisory roles. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Verona, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
