QC Inspector I
Location: Birmingham Metro Area, AL (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months (Possible extension )
Pay rate range: $30 – $32/hr on w2 (All inclusive)
The Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technician to join our facility in Bessemer, AL. This individual will play a critical role with the ramp up of a new factory. This Individual will Owns product integrity through comprehensive inspection programs, supplier quality management, and scrap control systems.

The Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technician to join our facility in Bessemer, AL. This individual will play a critical role with the ramp up of a new factory. This Individual will Owns product integrity through comprehensive inspection programs, supplier quality management, and scrap control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections using precision measurement tools
- Develop and maintain inspection procedures and quality standards
- Monitor processes using SPC and control charts
- Communicate quality issues and drive corrective actions
- Conduct incoming material and supplier quality audits
- Support root cause analysis, scrap reduction, and process improvements
- Document quality data and prepare reports
- 1-3 years of experience in quality/inspection within a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication preferred)
- Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Knowledge of SPC, quality systems, and inspection processes
- Experience with audits and corrective actions
- Familiarity with 5S, lean manufacturing, and process optimization
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills (5-Why, Fishbone)
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience with tools and basic assembly processes
- Sheet metal fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Spanish skills are a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
