Description

The Quality Control Inspector for one of our Contract Manufacturing clients in the Bay Area. This role performs inspections, verifies product conformance, supports root cause investigations, and helps maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect products to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, customer specifications, and industry standards.
  • Perform detailed and assembly-level inspections, including First Article Inspections (FAI) and supporting documentation.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Conduct incoming material inspections to verify supplier, customer, and industry requirements.
  • Verify proper installation and positioning of components, parts, and assemblies.
  • Analyze inspection data and accurately document findings and operational records.
  • Support engineering teams with product and process root cause analysis.
  • Maintain compliance with ESD procedures and assist others in following established practices.
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and nonconformance processes.
  • Recommend corrective actions and assist in compiling inspection reports and quality documentation.
  • Support production operations and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of quality inspection experience in a PCBA and Mechanical EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current IPC certification required.
  • Experience inspecting products to IPC standards and customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of component verification, dimensional measurement, and receiving inspection processes.
  • Proficiency using inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, torque drivers, and related equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality engineering methods, Kaizen principles, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
Contract to Hire $21-24/hr. Swing shift
