Quality Inspector

Monday through Friday- 9 Hours per day
Monday through Thursday- 9 hours per day Friday you are off
7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Must be available for OT
- The pay rate is 25.00 an hour
- 6 month of Contract
- The job location is in Plano, Texas 75074
Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products.
Inspects materials, parts, and products at different stages of production.
Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.
Conducts investigations into customer inquiries, issues, and grievances.
Verify that all personnel are in compliance with quality control procedures. Uses analytical and statistical data to project product quality and reliability.
Gives technical expertise to team members and instructs them in company procedures. Writes quality control reports and educational material.
Key QC Inspector skills
You should have great attention to detail to maintain accurate records. Some physical strength is required since you may often need to lift packages by hand. Reliability, being a self-starter, and being fast on your feet are necessary to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities- Reading blueprints and specifications
- Monitoring operations to ensure that they meet production standards
- Recommending adjustments to the assembly or production process
- Inspecting, testing, or measuring materials or products being produced
- Measuring products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
- Operating inspection equipment and software
- Accepting or rejecting finished items
- Removing all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
- Reporting inspection and testing data
Requirements- Proven experience as a QC Inspector or similar position
- Certifications in quality control or quality management such as Six Sigma or ASQ are preferred.
- Understanding of industry-specific regulations and quality control standards.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools
- Ability to read manufacturing DWGs and symbols
- Math skills – data reporting, measuring, calibrating, and calculating specifications
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong Organizational skills
- Strong computer skills with the ability the learn and navigate ERP, PDM and QMS systems.
- Ability to physically stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work overtime as needed
- High school diploma
