Quality Control Inspector

Job Summary

Responsible for inspecting products (e.g., computer hardware, peripherals, devices, and other types of
electronic equipment). Ensure that products meet order specifications and established quality control
requirements.

Essential Functions: 

Examine finished product(s) to ensure maximum efficiency and quality; inspect all products for damage
and/or errors
Interprets documentation (may be from several sources) to determine specific needs within area of
responsibility
Interface with customers (internal and/or external) to resolve technical issues
Recommend and implement corrective measures.
Maintain records of inspection progress and problems
Documents processes and procedures
May lead work teams and, as such, may provide approval for work performed by others
Trains Quality Inspector I and II
Quality and Continuous Improvement
Makes recommendations for process improvements
Participates in process improvement efforts as required

Education Requirement: 

High school diploma or equivalent. Five years experience in Quality Inspection or equivalent.
Demonstrated proficiency at a Quality Specialist level.

Experience Requirement: 

Ability to collect and analyze data
Knowledge of specialized equipment used within the respective discipline
Ability to apply techniques standard to the respective area of discipline

Ability to work well in a team
Good speaking and writing skills
Problem Solving
Ability to solve problems in situations standard to the area of specialty, but where there may be little
precedent
Ability to work independently

Working Conditions: 

Required to use basic motor skills on a daily basis
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals
May be required to lift objects weighing more than 30lbs on a daily basis.
May be exposed to both occupational and environmental risks daily including, but not limited to; chemicals,
cuts burns, noise and odors. Controlled manufacturing environment.
