GPS is hiring an experienced Wet Chemistry Lab Technician to join a manufacturing-based laboratory in Columbia, SC. This is NOTa medical or clinical lab environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on chemical testing, solution preparation, and analytical work in a manufacturing chemical lab environment. Why You Should Apply:

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

What You Will Do:
Perform wet chemistry lab testing.
Conduct chemical experiments and tests using techniques like gas chromatography and spectroscopy.
Prepare chemical solutions and analyze solids, liquids, and gases for compliance.
Monitor product quality and processing to meet standards.
Maintain and clean lab equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
Assist with plant raw material handling and maintain inventory.
Inspect and prepare samples for shipment, following regulatory requirements.
Record, compile, and interpret test results.
What Is Needed:
Education:
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Associate degree in a related field
Coursework in Chemistry, Chemical Technology or related field.
Experience:
Minimum: 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing wet lab.
Skills:
Basic written and verbal communication.
Strong math skills and knowledge of wet lab chemistry.
Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
Drug-free workplace and criminal background check required. EOE
