Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that quality control processes and procedures meet all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations.
Essential Functions:
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Develop and implement QC policies to the jobsite.
Ensures that all Nicholson and OSHA safety regulations are followed and enforced; responsible for safety on site.
Ensures that all Nicholson quality standards are met.
Perform overall quality control of the work and report regularly to PM.
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Minimum of 3 years of QC Experience
Geotechnical preferred
Basic knowledge of bidding and job costing procedures
Knowledgeable in structural and geotechnical designs related to our techniques
Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook relative to reporting site construction and engineering activities
Converse effectively using both verbal and written communication.
Make decisions and assume accountability
Concentrate on tasks
Demonstrate ability to manage stress and emotions as related to the workplace
Attention to detail
Identify and resolve conflict
Assess safety and risk
Physical Requirements:
Lift, carry, pull and push at least 40 pounds
Travel per the company travel policy, including overnight and away from home.
