    Description

    Overall Responsibility: This position is responsible for performing routine microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process bulk and finished products accuracy and compliance with established test methods, SOPs, safety guidelines andadherence to ISO 17025:2017 requirements.

     

    Job functions: Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    Test raw materials, stability samples and finished products for pathogens (E. coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Staphylococcus)

    - Determine counts for Yeast & Mold (TYMC) and the Total Aerobic Microbial Count (TAMC)

    - Test for Aflatoxins and probiotic viability

    - Document routine maintenance on instruments (GENE Up, TEMPO instruments, BAX, etc.)

    - Execute general Lab testing such as DT, pH, moisture, etc.

    - Ensure that the annual qualification and calibration of Micro instruments is performed

    - Assist in maintaining inventory and documentation (SDS, Certificates of Analysis, etc) for consumables, reagents, kits,

    etc.

    - Adhere to all Biosafety practices and regulations.

    - Assist in Environmental monitoring testing

    - Prioritize workload to meet deadlines

    - Communicate effectively regarding testing status, results, and technical concerns

    - Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and data integrity standards

    - Perform other related duties as assigned
