Job Duties:

  • The QC Program Manager - SNAP/TANF directs and manages the operations of statewide social service quality control programs (TANF, SNAP). Assesses programs and makes recommendations to DSS for leadership.
  • Directs and supervises the planning, development and management of the SNAP and TANF Quality Control program statewide.
  • Interprets complex policies and regulations involving both the program and the quality control areas.
  • Analyzes and interprets quality control findings for the development of corrective actions to improve programs administration statewide.
  • Plans and directs work processes to ensure that federal mandated samples are completed while also completing short term assignments to generate specific and immediate information.
  • Makes recommendations to management regarding corrective action, specific policies that are error prone and makes recommendations regarding program administration on the state and county levels.
  • Interacts with federal agency personnel from FNS, state and local staff to analyze and interpret difficult laws, policies and regulations applicable to quality control and program objectives.
  • Plans, designs, and conducts training sessions in areas of expertise when required.
  • Provides technical assistance statewide in the implementation of quality control policies and the entitlement program.
  • Supervises a staff of professionals who monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of entitlement program administered by the agency.
  • Develops, implements, and administers special projects as required.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A Bachelors Degree and three (3) years of experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.

A Masters Degree and one (1) year of experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
