We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable QC Receiving Inspector to join our client’s team in Walhalla, SC. This position is responsible for receiving, verifying, inspecting, and processing incoming materials and products. The ideal candidate will have experience with quality inspection processes, blueprint reading, precision measuring instruments, and computerized inventory systems.Responsibilities
  • Verify, count, sort, and weigh incoming materials and products.
  • Receive and process incoming shipments and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform data entry into company software systems.
  • Utilize handheld scanning devices (Datalogic JOYA) for receiving and inventory transactions.
  • Print and affix labels to products, containers, and packaging.
  • Inspect incoming materials and products against engineering drawings and blueprint specifications.
  • Identify defects, wear, damage, or nonconforming conditions.
  • Apply inspection labels to approved product containers and boxes.
  • Schedule products for required outsourcing processes.
  • Inspect outsourced products upon return from suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company quality procedures and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience performing incoming quality inspections.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate software systems.
  • Strong and accurate data entry skills.
  • Experience using handheld scanners and inventory management systems preferred.
  • Ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments, including:
    • Plug, Ring, and Pin Gages
    • Digital and Dial Calipers
    • Height Gages
    • Depth Gages
    • Dial Indicators
  • Experience using Thermatron equipment to inspect and sort thermostats and snap discs is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
