QC Shop Inspector – 3rd Shift

Location: East Side of Cleveland, OH
Shift: Sunday–Thursday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Pay:$22.00/hour

Training: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (paid at $22.00/hour).

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Shop Inspector to join a manufacturing team producing precision-machined copper and aluminum electrical connectors.

In this role, you'll inspect production parts, verify quality using precision measuring instruments, interpret blueprints, document inspection results, and serve as the primary quality contact for the production floor during your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect machined parts throughout the production process.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, thread plugs, gage pins, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and product specifications.
  • Record inspection results using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Communicate quality concerns and inspection results with machine operators.
  • Answer quality-related questions and provide guidance to production personnel.
  • Conduct gage calibrations and general quality audits.
  • Assist with incoming raw material inspections.
  • Train machine operators on quality procedures as needed.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work area.
  • Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools such as:
    • Calipers
    • Thread gages
    • Gage pins
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to walk throughout the manufacturing facility during the shift.
  • ISO 9001 experience is a plus but not required.
