    Job Description

    Location: Avon Lake, OH Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Watteredge is looking for a Quality Control Technician, Jr. to help maintain the quality, reliability, and performance of our products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    If you have experience reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and working in quality assurance, we'd love to hear from you!

    What You'll Do

    • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and tolerances.
    • Read and interpret engineering drawings, production instructions, and quality documentation.
    • Perform first-piece, first-article, source, and in-process inspections.
    • Verify calibration and proper use of measuring devices and testing equipment.
    • Review material certifications and evaluate non-conforming products.
    • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records and reports.
    • Enter inspection data into quality databases and track rework and scrap.
    • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to identify root causes and improve processes.
    • Assist with new product launches, PPAP documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures.
    • Support internal and supplier audits while helping maintain ISO quality standards.

    What We're Looking For

    • 3+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and understand GD&T.
    • Experience with calibration, precision measuring instruments, and inspection equipment.
    • Familiarity with ISO quality systems, audits, and quality documentation.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
    • Proficiency with quality inspection software and Microsoft Office.
