The ideal candidate must have a technical degree (BSc) and experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment. The candidate will perform destructive and non-destructive testing, maintain accurate laboratory records, calibrate measurement equipment, and support quality assurance activities. The ability to analyze test data, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings effectively is essential. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement efforts while ensuring products meet customer and industry requirements.
Reviews specifications, test procedures, and customer requirements to understand testing scope, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.
Performs destructive and mechanical testing, including tensile testing and other laboratory evaluations in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
Prepares test specimens and conducts testing to ensure materials and products meet customer specifications and internal quality requirements.
Records and documents test results by completing reports, entering data into quality databases, and maintaining laboratory records.
Performs dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Calibrates, verifies, and maintains laboratory and inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with calibration schedules.
Assists in investigating nonconforming materials and reports test failures while identifying and recommending corrective actions and process improvements.
Maintains laboratory equipment, tools, and work areas in clean, organized, and safe conditions.
Monitors testing and measuring equipment to ensure proper functionality and reports any equipment issues requiring maintenance or repair.
Supports production and quality teams by providing testing data, technical assistance, and quality-related recommendations.
Updates job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training.
Ensures compliance with company safety policies, laboratory procedures, and quality management system requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of laboratory testing, quality control, or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in performing tensile testing, mechanical testing, and calibration activities preferred.
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in science, Engineering Technology, Materials Science, or related technical field preferred.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communication.
Technology: Strong working knowledge of MS Office and other support software. Ability to use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment, calibration practices, and quality documentation. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position. Rotating shifts, overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
