Utilizes documented methods to test raw materials in-process products and finished goods against established specifications. Communicates findings of non-conforming materials or products to appropriate business partners. Applies sound judgment in interpreting test observations and resulting data. Accurately clearly and promptly records and reports results in accordance with specified guidelines and standard operating procedures. Recommends corrective actions as needed.
Calibrates measuring equipment according to schedule and maintains laboratory equipment glassware and workspaces in a clean organized and functional condition. Participates in root cause investigations and assists in adjusting out-of-specification batches. Adheres to all safety health and environmental standards and properly disposes of laboratory waste. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement. Collaborates with Regional Development and/or the Analytical Lab to implement new or enhanced test procedures. Demonstrates initiative in troubleshooting equipment and procedures and recommends changes to improve outcomes. Follows all ISO quality and environmental standards as outlined in procedural manuals. May be responsible for coaching or directing the work of QC Technician I in all areas of responsibility.
Education --------
High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
B.S. in Hard Science Degrees (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Microbiology, or related science) preferred.
Minimum 3 years related experience required.
Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to work at different projects at the same time and to think analytically. Good prioritization and communication skills (oral and writing).

Works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and some hazardous or caustic chemicals. The associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, potential risk of electrical shock, trip, and slip hazards.
