Job Description:
Performs tests on commercial HVAC systems to verify they meet quality and production standards. Corrects any issues found during testing. Tester must be able to complete duties in a safe and timely manner in accordance with quality standards and engineering specifications.
Essential Responsibilities/Activities: The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities that are expected of the Tech IV Tester position; however, additional duties may be assigned, as required.
Coordinate daily testing activities and assign tasks to team members.
Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow to meet deadlines.
Ensure quality control standards are consistently met.
Maintain accurate testing records and reports.
Support onboarding and training of new employees.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other departments.
Lead team meetings and provide performance feedback.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
Coordinates the work of co-workers and ensures that their work meets all production standards and schedules.
Trains new employees.
Responsible to ensure parts are available and production schedules are met.
Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to achieve department and company goals.
Coordinates area activities with other departments. Responsible for completing a higher level of formal training.
Operate recovery and reclaim machine to remove Freon prior to fixing leaks.
Operate test units from production lines to verify they meet engineering specifications.
Troubleshoot and repair defects in test units to complete run testing.
Verify units are built correctly to work order and engineering specifications.
Perform activities such as: wiring "all areas", brazing and assembly as required.
Education Requirements:
An individual in this job must have attained a minimum of Vocational/Technical Training to meet entry-level requirements. Education beyond the minimum is an added advantage for career development activities.
The individual will have a minimum of 0-5 years industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
