QE Engineer

Job Description:

Seeking a QA Automation Engineer/ SDET with strong expertise in Playwright and Selenium automation frameworks to support a large-scale UI test automation modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and reviewing automated test scripts in Playwright using TypeScript (or JavaScript) and Selenium using Java, with a particular focus on migrating existing Selenium test suites to Playwright. This individual will be expected to independently assess automation code quality, identify gaps in migration efforts, recommend improvements, and provide technical guidance to other SDETs on the project. Strong analytical skills, code review experience, and a deep understanding of UI automation best practices are essential.

Responsibilities/Experience:

• 7-8 Years of overall experience in Automation with 1-2 Years of hands on experience in Playwright/TS or JS UI automation.
• 2-3 years of Selenium Java
• 1-2 years of hands-on Playwright UI automation experience in TypeScript (JavaScript acceptable)
• 1-2 years of Java Selenium experience with strong working knowledge
• Experience in Selenium to Playwright script migration
• Ability to independently review Java Selenium tests and review migrated Playwright TypeScript code for improvement.
• Technically strong enough to identify gaps, ensure migration quality, and advise co-SDETs on the project
• Comfortable reading, writing, and reviewing TypeScript code without IDE''s
