Under the general supervision of the Program Manager for TCOOMMI, a Caseworker II performs assigned human service activities in the community mental health center and the community at large.
Experience and Training:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work, sociology, psychology, education, the humanities, or a behavioral science.
- Must be able to maintain QMHP Credentialing for continued employment.
- 2 years case management experience REQUIRED.
- Criminal justice, bilingual-Spanish preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:- General knowledge of mental illness and emotional components, rehabilitation methods, basic principles of casework, and knowledge of general community welfare resources.
- Ability to conduct interviews and report results of the interviews.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with Community Supervision, Corrections Department and other professional groups, to exercise tact, initiative, and good judgment when dealing with people.
- Ability to prepare reports and recommendations for administrative use, to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats of communication.
- Must have and maintain a level of general health that permits the performance of the job duties.
- Must be able to successfully participate, perform, and complete the skills required for CPR, First Aid, and PM
- Ability to travel locally 75% of the time.
- Must have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must have computer skills: basic word processing, EHR
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Salary: $45,000 to $52,965 DOE +$3,500 Stipend
