Overview: D460 Construction Support Integration Engineering seeks a Mechanical Engineer at Quonset Point to provide on-site technical leadership for VIRGINIA Class construction. The role involves supporting operations, resolving design and construction issues, interpreting drawings, coordinating engineering experts, and performing engineering calculations and surveillances. Mentorship will be provided to new hires.
Qualifications: Requires a B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Structural, Marine, or Naval Architecture with 1-5 years of experience. Must have proficiency in MS Office and the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance. Preferred skills include troubleshooting, mechanical design, project management, and Navy or VIRGINIA Class experience.
