Job Description:



Summary:
  • Performs work requiring knowledge of quality procedures and overall quality management system. Job requires background to comprehend quality procedures. Must perform all essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Verification of in-process and start-up testing completion for each production order.
  • Investigate and communicate any deficiencies to those affected and follow up with appropriate action.
  • Generate Non-Conformances that don't meet required testing requirements.
  • Communicate with Quality Engineering group to ensure bracketing of materials.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Ability to work a rotating shift (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am)
 
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Good reading, writing and oral communication skills
  • May be assigned other miscellaneous duties (including training) by department supervision/leadership. Must perform all essential functions of the position; as identified on the applicable Employer Job Description maintained in the Occupational Health Office.


Knowledge:
To ensure proper performance, personnel;
- Must be able to read and understand procedures, product and packaging standards.
- Must be able to read and understand quality testing.
- Demonstrate proper record practices.

Experience:
Manufacturing or Quality experience is preferred.

Judgment:
Uses considerable judgment to ensure all testing is conducted properly per product requirements. Ability to prioritize work.

Manual Skill:
  • Extensive use of IT Systems.
  • Materials and Products
  • Duties are only generally regulated, subject to general precedents and methods, and/or general supervision of progress and results. Must ensure quality requirements are met by production teams in accordance with product requirements.
  • Tools and Equipment:
  • Operating various electronic devices that serve as job aids, may include: tablets, laptops, cameras, rulers/measuring devices, test equipment.


Mental Effort:
Frequent variety of action and decision-making; close coordination with others. Must be detailed oriented. Exhibits strong leadership, analytical, and administrative skills. Must remain on high alert throughout the entire work shift. Perform semi-repetitive inspections requiring close attention to detail. Must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Physical Effort:
Light physical exertion required. Perform such activities as continuous handling of light material or products. Handle medium weights on an infrequent basis. Walk a considerable amount of the time. Use light hand tools.
Surroundings
Inside average factory type building. Slightly dirty, noisy. On a relative basis, good working conditions are found.

Hazards:
Work having moderate accident hazard with injuries.
