    Description

    Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS) – Mobile Crisis Response

    Full-Time | 40 hours/week | $24.04–$26.44/hour ($50K–$55K annually)
    Locations Served: Preble & Montgomery Counties, OH
    Schedule: Rotating shifts (including evenings, weekends, and holidays)

    Make a Difference When It Matters Most

    Join the Choices Mobile Crisis Response Team and be on the front lines of helping individuals through mental health and substance use crises. This is a 24/7 emergency response team that provides in-person support within 60 minutes, helping people stabilize, connect to resources, and begin their recovery journey.

    What You’ll Do

    • Respond in person to mental health or substance use crises as part of a team-based mobile unit
    • Use de-escalation techniques to safely support individuals in crisis
    • Provide short-term follow-up support (up to 42 days) to help individuals connect with community resources and maintain stability
    • Collaborate with clinical leadership, peers, and community partners
    • Document services and maintain accurate, timely records
    • Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings
    • Follow program protocols and contribute to continuous quality improvement
    • Represent Choices’ mission and services to individuals, families, and community partners

    What We’re Looking For

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Training or education in mental health and/or substance use recovery (or willingness to complete within 90 days of hire)
    • Ability to respond to crisis calls within 60 minutes
    • Strong communication and documentation skills
    • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Team-oriented mindset with professionalism in diverse settings
    • Valid driver’s license and access to a smartphone
    • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)

    Preferred:

    • Experience in crisis response or behavioral health
    • Bilingual (Spanish)
