About the Role:
Serenity Counseling Services of Virginia is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our growing team in Richmond, VA. This is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals navigating mental health challenges while working within a supportive, mission-driven environment.



Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans under supervision of an LMHP
  • Provide direct therapeutic services and crisis intervention to clients
  • Monitor and document client progress, updating care plans as clinically appropriate
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, case managers, and community resources to coordinate client care
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards
  • Facilitate individual and/or group sessions using evidence-based practices
  • Participate in staff meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development
Requirements:
  • Must meet Virginia QMHP eligibility requirements (relevant degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field)
  • Experience providing direct mental health services in a clinical or community-based setting
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Strong clinical documentation and case management skills
  • Ability to conduct mental health skill building sessions and develop individualized service plans
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills
  • Active QMHP certification (may be QMHP-Trainee)
