Think try and thrive with us in collaborative work environments that spark game-changing concepts.Job OverviewThis position is responsible for creating and coordinating quality related CampaignsHolds in plant reporting as well as the information flow between Quality Development Production Purchasing Marketing Service & Parts Sales Organizations Suppliers and Mercedes Benz USA.ResponsibilitiesThis role ensures the highest level of customer protection by maintaining strict control over vehicle quality status and preventing any non-conforming units from leaving the plant. Through proactive coordination real-time monitoring and disciplined execution of actions and holds it guarantees that only fully compliant vehicles are released to the customer.Act as a liaison between the plant and the Marshalling Yard MBUSAConduct weekly communications between MBV plant sister plants and MBUSACoordinate campaign management activities with MBV to ensure timely availability of vans to customerIndependently coordinate and organize third party resources to ensure all actions are complete for units before release to MBUSAIndependently leads the kick off meeting for all activities incl. reworkMonitor Production Instruction and place vehicles on hold as neededMonitor all actions and holds in plantParticipates in regularly scheduled team meetingsReceive action request manage reports through MB systems and generate CampaignHolds in SystemsRun daily reports to ensure vehicles are transparently tracked throughout the organizationWill perform other duties as assignedNote The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities duties abilities and skills required of personnel so classified. The midsize Mercedes-Benz Metris vans are also reassembled at this location.Mercedes-Benz Vans LLC invested 500 million U.S. dollars in the construction of a new Sprinter production plant in addition to an expansion of the previous assembly operations. In September 2018 MBV officially opened its new plant located next to existing operations in the North Charleston area. The MBV facility will provide up to 1300 jobs by the end of the decade and is expected to create at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers.More than 130000 Sprinters have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations in the U.S. since 2006.
