Get to Know Your Team:
Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for assuring standards are met for assigned designation programs. To include facilitating committee meetings.
Ability to compile and track data for analysis and develop process improvements with the information.
Collaborates with hospital directors/managers to provide appropriate orientation, education, training, as it relates to the programs under his/her direction.
Develop unit and hospital-based education based on identified opportunities.
Works within the quality framework to collect and analyze data, determine improvement steps, implement those steps, and evaluate overall improvements.
Supports organization objectives aimed at maintaining a culture of safety with aggressive error reduction at the department level.
Supports and assists organization to maintain regulatory survey readiness at all times.
Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
Licensed Registered Nurse required:
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role, and prior to providing direct patient care, or ARC (American Red Cross) is required upon hire.
Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position
Must have experience with computer and preferred EMR data abstraction skills.
Preferred Job Requirements:
Completion of Bachelors of Science in Nursing
Experience with Microsoft word, general data entry, Xcel, PowerPoint
