EXPERIENCE Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience with software QA / testing
Other relevant experience:
Experience performing acceptance testing.
Experience testing Medicaid Eligibility & Enrollment systems and/or MMIS systems preferred but not required
Experience with release management processes and tools such as JIRA and JAMA.
Experience with writing test plans and test reports.
Experience with testing on multiple platforms/environments.
Experience working collaboratively or teaming with another contractor in a multi-vendor environment.
Can work independently and as a member of a team.
Has good verbal and written communication skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for test planning, test script design, test artifact reviews, defect tracking, test summary, and test metrics reporting within a software project team. Provide a range of software testing services, including test plan development, requirement analysis, test artifact review, test execution. Support needed for a variety of Medicaid Enterprise System areas, as assigned. UAT testing for new software project development as well as ongoing production defect fixes
Communicate the ongoing progress of the projects testing effort
Actively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assurance
Assist with complex problems regarding testing approaches, application knowledge, and technical knowledge
Plan, document, evaluate and track testing results to ensure system applications are free from defects
Develop and provide testing metrics and reports to effectively communicate quality measures and metrics to the project team and management
Estimate quality assurance efforts on approved projects with IT Manager
Manage toward results, by process, with facts and with continuous process improvement in mind
Excellent understanding of different types of testing
Thorough knowledge of the entire SDLC, testing methodologies and their direct implementation to projects.
Ability to plan, manage, and organize multiple concurrent projects
