    Description

    QC/QA Manager

    Middletown, NY | On-Site

    Reports to: Head of Operations

    $125,000



    Fast-paced manufacturing company seeking a hands-on QC/QA Manager to lead quality across production. This role requires strong floor presence, solid decision-making, and the ability to balance production demands with strict quality and food safety standards.




    QC Responsibilities

    • Ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements
    • Oversee inspection of raw materials, in-process, and finished goods
    • Investigate defects, trends, and recurring quality issues
    • Make disposition decisions (release, hold, rework, rerun)
    • Work closely with production to resolve issues on the floor
    • Handle customer complaints and root cause analysis (CAPA)
    • Track and report quality metrics and improvements




    QA Responsibilities

    • Maintain SQF, GMP, HACCP, and food safety systems
    • Support audit readiness and lead inspections (internal/external)
    • Maintain SOPs, documentation, and traceability systems
    • Manage supplier quality programs
    • Train staff on quality and food safety standards
    • Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement





    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing
    • Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs
    • Flexible packaging experience preferred
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Experience with audits and compliance systems
    • Strong communication and documentation skills
