Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Associate I Receiving Inspection for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Oklahoma City. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, finished products, and returned goods within a warehouse and distribution environment before they are released into inventory or production.
The ideal candidate has previous warehouse or distribution center experience along with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or receiving inspection experience. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints and specifications, performing visual and dimensional inspections, documenting results, and identifying nonconforming materials.
Schedule flexibility is important. While the regular shift is 7:00 AM3:30 PM, candidates must be available to start as early as 5:00 or 6:00 AM and work 1012-hour shifts when overtime is required.
Required Experience & Skills
Warehouse or distribution center experience required
At least 1 year of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience preferred
Receiving inspection experience strongly preferred
Ability to read blueprints and specifications
Ability to follow inspection requirements
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic computer and documentation skills
Strong organizational and recordkeeping abilities
Ability to identify damaged or nonconforming materials
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work overtime and extended shifts
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Inspect incoming materials and products
Inspect finished products and returned goods
Perform visual inspections
Perform dimensional inspections
Complete functional inspections when required
Read blueprints and product specifications
Follow applicable inspection requirements
Verify materials meet established quality standards
Document inspection results accurately
Maintain organized quality records
Identify damaged or nonconforming materials
Separate nonconforming products from acceptable inventory
Communicate quality concerns to appropriate personnel
Work with suppliers, Production, and Supply Chain teams as required
Assist with corrective actions
Support customer complaint investigations
Conduct performance, cycle, and validation testing as directed
Assist with supplier audits
Support new product evaluations
Rework or sort materials when required
Kit and organize inventory as needed
Prepare routine quality reports
Assist with warehouse and quality initiatives
Perform additional Quality and Receiving duties as assigned
Receiving Inspection
The primary focus of this position is ensuring incoming materials meet applicable requirements before being released.
Responsibilities may include:
Verifying incoming materials against applicable documentation
Inspecting products for visible damage
Checking dimensions and measurements
Reviewing applicable specifications
Comparing products against blueprint requirements
Identifying incorrect or defective materials
Documenting inspection findings
Separating nonconforming products
Communicating discrepancies to appropriate personnel
Visual, Dimensional & Functional Inspection
Candidates may perform:
Visual inspections
Dimensional checks
Functional inspections
Performance testing
Cycle testing
Validation testing
Experience using inspection and measurement tools is preferred.
Blueprint & Specification Responsibilities
Candidates should be able to:
Read manufacturing blueprints
Interpret basic dimensions and measurements
Review product specifications

Compare incoming materials against documented requirements
Recognize obvious discrepancies

Nonconforming Materials

Help prevent unacceptable materials from entering inventory or production

Quality Documentation
Accurate recordkeeping is an important part of this position.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, and material handling
Manual dexterity required for inspection and measurement activities
Ability to safely move throughout active warehouse areas
Comfortable performing inspections throughout extended shifts
Ability to safely work around warehouse equipment
Ability to wear all required PPE
Schedule & Overtime Requirements

MondayFriday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Candidates must also be flexible to:
Start as early as 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM when required
Work 1012-hour shifts during periods of increased demand
Work additional overtime as operational needs require
Work Environment
Indoor warehouse and distribution center environment
Facility may not be temperature controlled
Regular exposure to warehouse equipment and material movement
Moderate-to-high noise levels may be present
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and handling of materials
