Duration: 12+ months contract
Work Location: Columbia, SC. (Hybrid – 4 days office, 1 day remote)
Candidate location: Candidate MUST be a SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:- Responsible for performing tests on technical solutions to isolate and solve issues. Initiates tests, analyzes results, and finds solutions to technical problems.
- Demonstrate proficiency in department’s test processes and SDLC tools
- Demonstrate ability to translate functional and technical requirements and technical designs into test cases
- Develop and execute functional and technical test cases under the direction of test leads and senior testers
- Create and maintain SDLC traceability from test cases to requirements and designs/software components; Assist in generation of requirement traceability matrices
- Participate in defect triage, retest, and resolution
- Create quality assurance documentation and reports as required
Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):- 2 years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
- 2 years knowledge of manual testing techniques (functional, regression, smoke, usability, boundary testing)
- 3 years deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid), business processes
Required Education:- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, healthcare or related field. Years of experience can substitute for formal education.
Required Certifications:- None required. Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized sources are desirable.
Preferred Skills:- 2 years’ experience with large enterprise or e-business systems
- 3 years’ experience using QA tools such as Jira, Clienture DevOps, TestRail, or similar
- 3 years prior experience working in a standard SDLC (waterfall methodology) & in an AGILE delivery
Additional Skills/Duties: - Develop and execute test cases; Clearly communicate and document test status and defects identified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
