Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through rigorous testing and quality assurance processes. This role requires a strong foundation in manual and automated testing, collaboration with development teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct software testing to identify, document, and resolve defects.
- Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and testing strategies.
- Perform Manual Smoke, Sanity, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Build, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
- Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide testing progress updates, reports, and recommendations.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact product quality.
- Create and maintain test data as needed.
- Work within Agile development methodologies and participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Foster a collaborative and productive quality assurance environment.
- Mentor and coach other QA engineers on automation testing best practices.
Qualifications
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related field.
- Experience with software testing and test automation.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Strong understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) and Software Quality Assurance (SQA) principles.
- Medium-level SQL skills, including the ability to query, create, and maintain test data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred
- Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) or equivalent certification.
