    Description

    Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst/Technician to support the development, production, integration, and delivery of mission-critical IT and communications systems for U.S. Navy programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience implementing and managing quality processes within a DoD manufacturing or systems integration environment and be proficient with CMPro configuration management software.

This role will be responsible for establishing and continuously improving QA processes across the entire system lifecycle, from material receipt and production through integration, testing, and final delivery. The successful candidate will partner closely with Engineering, Production, Configuration Management, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) supporting defense electronics, IT infrastructure, and communications system integration
    • Establishing quality gates, inspection points, and process controls throughout manufacturing, assembly, integration, and system acceptance
    • Utilizing CMPro to ensure proper configuration management, documentation control, change tracking, and product baseline integrity
    • Creating and maintaining inspection plans, quality procedures, work instructions, and acceptance criteria
    • Conducting in‑process inspections, audits, and final acceptance reviews to verify compliance with engineering drawings, technical data packages, and customer requirements
    • Leading root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities for quality issues
    • Monitoring quality metrics and identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
    • Supporting First Article Inspections (FAI), Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and customer witness events as required
    • Verifying configuration accuracy between hardware, software, documentation, and released baselines
    • Collaborating with engineering and program management to ensure quality requirements are incorporated early in the product lifecycle
    • Supporting internal and external audits, including customer and government quality reviews
    • Ensuring compliance with applicable DoD, Navy, ISO 9001, and contractual quality requirements
    • Mentoring production personnel on quality standards, inspection techniques, and continuous improvement initiatives

    • Strong understanding of configuration management principles and product lifecycle management
    • Experience with hardware integration, networking equipment, communications systems, or IT infrastructure
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation
    • Experience conducting internal audits, inspections, and corrective action investigations

    • Strong documentation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering and production environment
