What you'll own

• Own end-to-end QA activities across the software development lifecycle, including test strategy, test planning, risk/impact analysis, functional, integration, regression, API, and release validation.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, with a focus on scalable, reliable, and reusable automation integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate payment processing workflows, including transaction authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, voids, declines, and exception scenarios across integrated systems.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Automation, and other QA teams to identify quality risks early, establish appropriate test coverage, and ensure acceptance criteria and requirements are testable.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA practices by analyzing defects, identifying coverage gaps and improving regression effectiveness, automation coverage, and overall release quality.

What you'll bring

• 5+ years of software quality assurance/testing experience, with demonstrated experience owning testing for complex, integrated applications in an Agile environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript, including UI and API automation, framework maintenance, debugging, and CI/CD integration.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and processes, including test strategy, risk-based testing, regression testing, defect management, root-cause analysis, and release readiness.
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, backend services, databases, and system integrations, with the ability to validate end-to-end data and transaction flows.
• Experience within the payments/fintech industry, with practical knowledge of credit/debit card processing and the payment lifecycle, including authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, chargebacks/declines, and transaction processing.

It's a bonus if you have

• Experience with payment gateways, processors/acquirers, merchant processing, tokenization, recurring payments, or alternative/digital payment methods.
• Familiarity with payment-industry concepts and standards such as PCI DSS, EMV, 3-D Secure, ISO 8583, card networks, and payment security concepts.
• Experience with QA/test-management and engineering tools such as Jira, Xray/Zephyr, Git, Jenkins or other CI/CD platforms, plus experience improving automation and quality metrics.
