Job Title: Quality Team Member Department: 70-Quality Reports To: Quality Supervisor/Plant Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Location: Bement, IL Pay Range: $ 18.60 - $ 22.50 Days: 4:30am-3pm, 5am-3:30pm - Mon-Thurs Job Summary: Testing and inspecting products at certain stages of production processes. Informing and coaching line personnel in quality information. Enables everyone to maintain quality and reliability of products. Items could either be moving along the production line or stationery. Performing the following duties assures this goal. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Provides line personnel with information concerning quality standards.
- Completion of required reports.
- Facilitate UL Inspections
- ISO Internal Auditing
- Posting new and revised ISO documents
- Inspect measuring equipment and calibration
- Incoming inspection of required material
- Use of gages including but not limited to thread plug gage, calipers, height gage, feeler gages, digital indicators, micrometers
- Inspect silkscreens to ensure print meets standard
- Inspection of parts and materials used in filter manufacture.
- Ensure that filters are completed according to work order specifications.
- Monitor filter production processes at all stages of manufacture.
- Final inspection of completed filters.
- Gaging of threaded hole in base plates with Go-No-Go gauge when required.
- Gathering filter runout and flatness data for customer and SPC use.
- Completion of Certificate of Compliance forms when necessary.
- Assist in the rework for non-conforming products.
- Evaluate data and produce reports as to product meeting existing standards.
- Communicate quality issues with line supervisors.
- Continually improve the knowledge base.
- Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve the best possible quality within limits of machine capability.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Travel Required: - Yes - Infrequent – Periodic travel to alternate production facility for training.
Education and Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent
- One to three months related experience and/or training
Physical Requirements - Required to stand, walk, bend and reach.
- Occasionally required to kneel, crouch, or crawl in certain areas
- Regularly lift up to 25 pounds
- Will be required to work in a non-temperature-controlled facility.
