Quality Assurance Coordinator

Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator
Department: Configuration
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, measuring and improving processes, services, safety and sustainability within MCPC's production labs and logistics facilities. The QA Coordinator will investigate incident reports, customer complaints and other issues as requested. The position will be tasked with auditing processes and making recommendations for improvements to decrease errors, improve efficiency and create a safer working environment. The QA Coordinator may be authorized to develop new policies or procedures and must be able to effectively communicate and train individuals to properly implement updates.
Responsibilities:
- Works with all departments to ensure quality throughout the product and service lifecycle.
- Performs internal audits of quality incident investigations of processes and procedures through independent assessment.
- Utilizes reports and data to identify systemic performance issues, trends and anomalies.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement to reduce risk and improve delivery, efficiency, and safety.
- Manages corrective action process including root cause analysis to ensure corrective solutions are implemented with verification of effectiveness.
- Document the outcomes of quality incident investigations and audits.
- Reports outcomes to management at regularly cadenced meetings.
- Acts as a consultant to staff in achieving organizational quality, safety, and sustainability goals.
Key Outcomes of this Position:
- Quality incidents, customer complaints, and internal defects are consistently reduced through thorough investigations, accurate root cause analysis, and effective corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
- Internal audits reflect high levels of compliance with standardized procedures, safety protocols, and operational requirements, ensuring consistency across production labs and logistics functions.
- Reporting and analysis of quality data identify trends, systemic issues, and performance gaps, enabling leadership to make proactive, informed decisions that improve overall operations.
- Process improvements result in reduced rework, more stable throughput, and a safer working environment, with measurable gains in productivity and operational reliability.
- New policies, procedures, and updates are effectively rolled out, clearly communicated, and adopted by teams, resulting in sustained improvements and minimal disruption to operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to assess workflows, identify deficiencies, and drive measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, or safety.
- Ability to investigate incidents, identify systemic issues, and develop effective, sustainable corrective actions.
- Experience utilizing Excel or similar tools to analyze trends, track performance metrics, and translate data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Ability to evaluate adherence to procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and support audit readiness across departments.
- Ability to clearly present findings, provide actionable recommendations, and influence cross-functional teams to adopt process improvements.
- Proven capability to track corrective actions through completion, validate effectiveness, and ensure long-term resolution.
- Experience in creating standardized work instructions and driving adoption through training and clear communication.
- Ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and risks that may impact quality, safety, or delivery outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Applicable ASQ Certification (CQIA or CQA)
- Relevant CAPA/Root Cause Analysis Training
- Exposure to quality tools, auditing techniques, and risk management frameworks used in operational environments.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to lift 25-50lbs.
- Visual acuity sufficient to inspect device labels, serial numbers, ports, screens, and quality indicators under standard production lighting.
- Ability to wear required PPE specific to work areas, including composite toed shoes, safety glasses, or ear protection.
