Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is responsible for inspecting products, documenting quality activities, conducting testing, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Conduct visual inspections and record quality data.
- Sample and inspect raw and finished products for compliance with standards.
- Complete aging, shipping, receiving, and grading reports.
- Perform product testing for oil content, temperature, and defects.
- Assist with quality experiments involving packaging and products.
- Communicate quality concerns and findings to team members, leads, and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate inventory statuses and support inventory tracking.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Complete daily and weekly QA objectives and other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; inventory system experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced food production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 48 lbs. and use ladders, tablets, and other tools.
- Flexible schedule with availability for overtime as needed.
- Ability to work in cold, wet conditions (38°F–50°F) and follow food safety regulations.
