    Description

Are you passionate about building automation that catches bugs before customers ever see them? We"re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help us deliver a world-class streaming experience on Android - one of the most-used platforms in the world.

In this role, you"ll design and build test automation frameworks that keep our mobile app reliable at scale. You"ll create test strategies for complex features, write automated tests that are maintainable and reusable, and drive continuous improvements to how we validate quality across releases. You won"t just find problems - you"ll build the systems that prevent them.

You"ll work closely with engineers and product teams throughout the development lifecycle, influencing quality from design through deployment. If you love solving hard testing problems with code, thrive on making things more efficient, and want your work to directly impact millions of customers who use our app every day, we"d love to hear from you.

    Key job responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for our Android mobile application, ensuring tests are reliable, scalable, and easy for the team to extend

Create and execute test strategies for new features and services, identifying the right mix of unit, integration, and end-to-end automation to maximize coverage

Build and own continuous integration pipelines that validate every code change, catching regressions before they reach customers

Analyze test results and quality metrics (automation coverage, defect escape rate, test pass rates) to identify gaps and drive data-informed improvements to our testing approach

Collaborate with engineers and product managers throughout the development lifecycle - from requirements and design through deployment - to advocate for quality early and often

Investigate production issues through root cause analysis and implement preventive automated checks so the same class of bug doesn"t recur

Continuously improve test infrastructure and tooling to reduce flakiness, speed up feedback loops, and make it easier for the whole team to ship with confidence

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
