QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

  • Agile Development Methodology (4-6 Years).
  • IBM DB2 UDB (1-3 Years).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Contribute to quality assurance standards and testing processes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.
  • Validate applications to ensure compliance with business requirements, system objectives, and end-user expectations.
  • Analyze application documentation to understand functionality, technical architecture, and testing scope.
  • Perform functional, system, integration, regression, user interface (UI), and load testing.
  • Test internally developed applications as well as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software solutions.
  • Assist with application installation, deployment, and validation across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and system engineers to ensure product quality.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation and recommend automation candidates.
  • Develop and maintain automated integration and UI test scripts using appropriate testing tools.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases to verify application functionality, performance, and reliability.
  • Analyze test results to identify, document, and resolve defects, bugs, configuration issues, and interoperability problems.
  • Log, track, and manage defects throughout the software testing lifecycle.
  • Support release readiness activities by providing QA validation and release recommendations.
  • Review application performance and develop testing strategies to improve system reliability and efficiency.
  • Recommend application and process improvements to enhance system quality and user experience.

  • The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the Division of Information Technology Services (ITS). Working within ITS project teams, the QA Analyst will ensure quality testing of all in-house or commercial-of-the-shelf (COTS) products.  The QA Analyst will apply end to end testing practices including writing test cases and scenarios that ensure the delivery of quality software.  They will also determine usage of and potentially create automated testing structures.
